Happy 2018! New Year's Resolutions

It's that time of the year again, when we look back and assess how these past twelve months have been and what we would like to achieve in the year ahead. It's good to take some time to reflect about what we are doing with our life and improve ourselves and the world around us.

We've launched this website in October to showcase what we love and raise awareness about some of the issues affecting the fashion industry. If this is something you also care about, you can show your support by following other people and organisations on Instagram who are going in this direction (listed further down on this page).

Here's our New Year's Resolutions based on the campaign #GoodFashionResolution for 2018 by Fashion for Good

  1. Clear out our wardrobe and give away clothes we no longer wear to charity or attend/organise swap parties

  2. Check what we really need before getting near shops during sales

  3. Research brands and find out if they share the same values as us

  4. Buy good quality and long lasting clothes we love enough to wear for a few years

  5. Cut spending and save money to do things we really enjoy: travel, learn something new, see a play...

And then our personal goals

  • Reduce our inner speed (do this, do that, next, next, next kind of attitude)

  • Take time to nurture ourselves (drawing, meditating, walking in the park... Whatever brings focus to the present moment)

  • Love ourselves and others (a daring form of rebellion in a world that focus on our insecurities to sell, and a source of wellbeing)
