Matiso is the artistic name of Simon Burger based in Nuremberg, Germany. For those of us who like electronic music, he shows great potential. He's building up his profile on Instagram and soundlcoud, so it won't be long before he gets noticed. There's not much information about him online, so we got in touch with him to get to know a little bit more about the man behind the music.
Why doing this?
I just love to create something new, that never existed before. This is why it is so great to create music!
Who are your favourite DJs?
I have a ton of favourite DJs, but to name my TOP TEN: Solomun, Stephan Bodzin, Oliver Koletzki, Andhim, Marek Hemmann, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Tale Of Us, Moderat and Paul Kalkbrenner.
What’s your life’s motto?
In Germany we have this saying: trust is good, control is better. My motto is the opposite: Control is good, trust is better. I think if you trust in life, you can see that everything is right there, and you don´t have to search for anything anymore.
What’s your career goal?
My career goal is to make people happy with my music!
What’s the best party (in terms of music) you have ever been to?
A really small one. I made an Erasmus in Seville (South Spain). There is the so called CAAC (Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo). Incredible people, incredible electronic music. It takes place weekly during the summer season.
Which country you haven’t visited yet but would love to go to some day?
There's so many of them, but Brazil is the first one that comes to mind.
Who inspires you the most? Why?
Will Smith. I think his work ethic is outstanding. He is doing what he loves, with all of his heart.
